CIANCIO, Beniamino “Benny”
June 17, 1927-February 3, 2021
Passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side,on February 3, 2021 at the age of 93. Survived by his loving and devoted wife Rita (nee Delicata). Predeceased by his parents Rocco and Francesca (nee Palmieri) Ciancio and his mother and father in-law Ernesto and Lucia Delicata.Incredible loving father of Linda Palameta (Tom 2015). Adoring and witty nonno of Cristian, Benjamin and Alana. Survived by his sisters Maria Punturiero (the late Gennaro) and Concetta Ciancio. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Bruno and Carmela, Domenico and Santa, Giuseppe(surviving wife Franca) Giovanni, Rosina and Antonio and Cesare. Dear brother in-law of Carmela Tomassi (the late Vincenzo) and Lucia Delicata (the late Enzo). Benny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Italy and Canada. Benny came to Canada in May 1953 where he met his future wife Rita and they were married in 1955. He was the founder of Benny Ciancio Trucking and retired at the age of 60 to enjoy time with family and friends. He enjoyed many hours at the Casino with Rita and socializing with friends. He will be missed for his generous spirit, his amazing and witty sense of humour, as well as his optimism and his words of wisdom. He was a well-respected husband, father and nonno and will be missed by all who loved him. A very special thank you to team of doctors, nurses and all staff who were involved in Benny's care. We appreciate your kindness, care and compassion. A private family service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
