She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

In 1978, Sol dedicated her life to loving and serving Christ. She enjoyed volunteering at her church (Bethesda Christian Church in Michigan) in the library and serving in the kitchen. She spent her later years as a dedicated member of Windsor Christian Fellowship. Her love for Jesus was shown in so many ways. She always took the time to reach out to others, bringing them to church, going out to lunch and praying with them.

Sol graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Far Eastern University in Manila. To further her studies, Sol moved to Rochester, New York and attended the University of Rochester. Sol moved to Windsor, Ontario and began her career at Metropolitan Hospital where she worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years and then crossing the Canada/US border every shift to work as an ICU nurse at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. After 36 years at Sinai Grace Hospital, now called the Detroit Medical Center, Sol retired at the age of 70 and spent her time visiting her grandchildren, gardening, volunteering for causes and organizations that were important to her, attending church, traveling, camping, fishing, cooking meals, crocheting, watching and attending sporting events, taking long drives in the country, collecting rocks wherever she went and fellowshipping with friends.

The family of Sol wishes to express our sincere appreciation for all of the prayers and visits and many other acts of kindness shown during the past few years of her life
