Dave, Jeff and Family. My deepest sympathies on the passing of your wonderful Mom. I have many fond memories of sitting on the front porch with your Mom and Dad as a kid and later stopping in to see your mom in the old neighborhood after your dad’s passing. She was always interested in how I was doing and also my kids. She was always so proud of her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. I remember her mentioning you all had gone on a family cruise together. I know you will cherish all those wonderful memories. Mrs. Knowler truly was a wonderful lady! Debbie Williams-Walker

Dave and Jeff, our deepest sympathies on your Mom's passing. My memories of your Mom growing up as your next door neighbour for many years was that she was consistently a kind and caring person and always pleasant to talk to. Hilda got to experience this as well first hand as she became friends with your Mom later in life through her friendship with your Dad who she worked with at Customs. I can still recall those warm summer nights when us kids were out playing and the sound of your Mom's voice at the door calling out to her boys that dinner was ready. Such a nice memory. May you find comfort knowing that your Mom and Dad, both very special people, are together again. Doug and Hilda Williams

My deepest sympathy to David, Maureen, Jeff, Debbie and their families on the passing of Aunt Norma. She was a kind, sensitive and caring person. I have wonderful memories of her from child hood through infrequent visits and frequent telephone conversations over the years. God Bless a beautiful soul. May she Rest In Peace.

Dave and Jeff, my heartfelt condolences on your Mom's passing. She was truly a "1950's neighborhood Mom", long before the adage of "it takes a village to raise a kid". She even put up with us playing hockey in the basement using the timer on the washing machine to make it a little more NHLish. Memories of Francois Road are kept alive because of people like your Mom! Dave Dowell

Dear Norma's family, Norma was an exceptional wife, a much loved Mum, Mum-in-law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a dear, caring friend! I still remember the Sunday when my husband, Pastor Stan, baptized Norma....she just glowed! We have kept in touch over the years with many phone calls...she always asked about my family, making sure my son-in-law was still a 'dyed- in-the-wool Leaf fan! She loved watching hockey! Like our family, she loved Mrytle Beach and when we met there we took this picture. I will miss our phone chats but it is so comforting to know she is 'at home' with her Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ, and her beloved Jack who made the best coffee at Grace Baptist! Praying you will experience the presence and peace of God at Norma's Remembrance and Thanksgiving Service on Thursday. With a grateful heart for Norma's friendship and love Win Hibbins (Cobourg, ON)

Norma was a wonderful Christian friend. She and Jack were always great friends of my husband and I. We attended Grace Baptist Church together and visited each other's homes many, many times. After the death of our husbands we chatted often by phone- we both were Maritimers, so had lots in common! I will miss hearing her sweet voice, but will always remember her sweet ways and beautiful smile. She will be so happy to be with Jack! Sent with love, Connie Hawkes
