Obituary of Margaret Mary Robinet

ROBINET, Margaret Mary

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Robinet (nee Bouteiller), 94 years young, on May 27, 2022. Predeceased by husbands Don Fontaine (1994), John Robinet (2014). Much loved and respected mother of Don Fontaine ( Anna); Catherine Fontaine, John Fontaine ( Michelle) and Bradley Fontaine (Cathy). Always cherished by Grandchildren, Clint Fontaine (Kathleen), Lauren Summerville (nee Fontaine) (Phil), Lucas Gaudette, Paige Lewis (nee Gaudette) (Jeff), Bree Gaudette, Robyn Hansen (nee Fontaine) ( Kyle), Brandon Fontaine (Lexi) and Katie Fontaine. Proud Great Grandma of Henry, Audrey and Wyatt Fontaine, Scarlett and Windsor Lewis and Zack and Blake Summerville. Predeceased by parents Fred and Rita Bouteiller (nee Thibert), brothers Fred Bouteiller and George Bouteiller and sister Janet Poisson (nee Bouteiller). Margaret was Step Mom to the late Janet Sandre (Lido), and Step Grandma to the Sandre family.

Margaret had an extensive career starting in the offices of Chrysler and for many years following as a private secretary to bank presidents at Manufactures Bank Detroit Michigan. Upon retirement you would find her among the apple orchard at Patillo Orchards before starting her own organic farm on Hwy. 22 just west of Belle River. She and than husband John worked happily and tirelessly on the farm for most of their senior golden years, and they loved every minute. Margaret loved music and singing. She was a member of the resurrection choir at St. Simon and Jude for many years. As well, full of fun, she sang in the fun band entertaining at nursing homes and other events. While in Florida she was in a chorale group for many enjoyable years. When Mom wasn’t singing or farming she was an avid reader, and liked to pop around on FB as well. She had many talents from sewing and leather works in her younger years to crochet in later years. She was always up for a day or weekend trip and spent 25 of her senior years wintering in different areas of Florida. She will be greatly missed as she wasn’t just our Mother but a beacon of strength and courage for all of us. She will be greatly missed by Saturday yard sale friend and special niece Annette Murphy. We send her all our prayers, blessings and love as she can finally rest and spend her days with her much loved siblings and friends. We all love you Mom..
