Obituary of Valentino Rossi
ROSSI, Valentino Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Born in Atina, Italy on October 4, 1929, he immigrated to Windsor in 1954. He was the beloved husband of Luisa Rossi (2017) for 65 years and cherished father to Maria Recchia and son-in-law Giovanni Recchia. Proud grandfather to Lisa & Rob Pelaccia and Tina & David Younan. He was dearly loved by his great-grandchildren Matteo & Marcus Younan and Luca Pelaccia. Dear brother to Yole Catenacci (the late Giovanni), the late Rinaldo Rossi (Lisa) and brother in-law of Rinaldo Moscone (the late Maria) and the late Pia and Dario DiCarlo. Predeceased by parents Guilo and Antonietta Rossi. Valentino retired from the Windsor Salt Mines after many years of service. During his retirement he enjoyed cooking, gardening, wine making and spending his time with his cherished family and friends. He was a very happy man and always had a smile. He helped anyone in any way he could. Valentino Rossi was one in a million. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh E., 519-253-7234, on Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. Friends are asked to meet at St. Angela Merici Church on Monday, May 30, 2022 for Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
