Obituary of Margaret Jacques
Jacques, Margaret Jean
January 17, 1947 - April 16, 2022
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret Jean (Kirkpatrick) Jacques, a loving Mother, Nana, Sister, Cousin and Friend. She passed away peacefully on April 16, 2022 at the age of 75.
Margaret is predeceased by her Husband Thomas Kirkpatrick (2010), Mother Margaret Speed, and Brother Kenneth Kirkpatrick.
Margaret is survived by Son Leonard Jacques and Daughter-in-law Kathy Shields of North Royalton, OH; Daughter Renee Jacques and Grandsons Kyle and Shane Stanuszek of Aurora, IL; Sister Mary Czegledi of Southgate, MI; Brother Sheldon (Joy) Czegledi of Phoenix, AZ; Cousin Heather Stuttard of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Margaret, Marlene, as she was known to all, was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, moved to Michigan as a teenager, married, had children, then moved to Ohio where she lived for many years, enjoying life attending her children’s hockey games and playing cards with the neighbors. Marlene later moved back to Canada, living in Woodslee, Kingsville, and finally back to her beloved Windsor.
Margaret enjoyed a wee cup of tea every morning, doing puzzles, reading, watching hockey games, spending time on the patios with her neighbor friends, and traveling when she could. The beach was her favorite place and she loved her many trips to Orange Beach, AL and Rehoboth Beach, DE. There was nothing she loved more though than spending time with her family - her children and grandchildren were her whole world. She was a proud Mother and Nana.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 4, 2022 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Windsor. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC).
