COCCHETTO, Lia (nee: Cancian)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Lia, with her loving family by her side on April 18, 2022, at the age of 86. Reunited with her cherished husband, Bruno with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Beloved mother to Sandra Fedele, and Velma Cocchetto-Picco and husband Maxim Picco. Proud Nonna to Deanna (Tony) Coppola, Myla (Salvatore) Figliomeni, and Kara Picco (Sameer Jafar). Treasured Bis-Nonna to AJ, Nyomi, and Bruno Coppola and soon-to-be baby Figliomeni. Predeceased by her parents, Maria and Cesare Cancian and in-laws, Augusta and Augusto Cocchetto. Much loved sister to the late Riccardo (Antionetta) Cancian. Sister-in-law to the late Clara (the late Giuseppe, and wife Carla) Marcon, the late Luigi (Adelina) Cocchetto, the late Giuseppe (Ida) Cocchetto, Aldina (the late Bruno) Cusinato, the late Carlo Cocchetto, Giancarlo (Eleanor) Cocchetto, the late Franco (Luciana) Cocchetto, Mirella (Nello) Modolo, Loredona (John) Naccaratto. Lia will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and special friends. A special thank you to Lia's care team at Hospice of Windsor, and our guardian angels at Essex-Windsor EMS Community Paramedic Department.
Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral service on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 10:15am from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici for Funeral Mass at 11am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest.
