Obituary of Lucille Cecillon
Cecillon, Lucille (nee Strueby)
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Lucille, at home on the day after her 84th birthday, April 5, 2022, surrounded by family after a determined battle with cancer. Survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Louis, and adored children: Brenda, Leanne, Dave (Cindy) Greely; Jack (Lea), Markham and Ron, Vancouver. Lucille treasured visits with her beloved grandchildren, Greg, Chris, Katie, Emillie, Lauren, Natalia, Jonathon, Noah, ‘Mimi’ to Ella and Lucas and loving GG to Maxwell. Lucille was a proud homemaker, sharing her talents and showing her love for her family by sewing, baking, gardening and decorating.
Born in Marysburg, Saskatchewan in 1938 to Fred and Theresa Strueby, Lucille was the middle child of eleven. Predeceased by Arnold, Walter, Eunice, Doreen and Lorne and survived by Art, Rose, Eileen, Rick and Grace. Remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially Cassie and Chris Braun. Lucille was a long time C.W.L member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care received from Saint Elizabeth nurses, Marissa and Lisa as well as her PSW team. Special thanks to Dr. Gupta and Dr. Liang.
Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 834 Raymo Rd Windsor from 9:30am until time of her funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment of her cremated remains to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. For those who wish memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Foundation or Hospice Windsor.
