My condolences to Heathers family and friends. She to me was my honorary second grandma. I have many many memories of spending time with her. We would watch the birds and enjoy a summer day or on a rainy day that we happened to ring her doorbell we would play cards and eating her favourite chocolate, Quality Street and watch carnation street (her favourite show). Me and my siblings were very fortunate growing up just 5 houses apart from hers. It was customary to stop by her house on Halloween for pictures as well before heading up the road to my grandparents. She always had her camera ready to take our pictures. I remember seeing her out on her bike, after dinner in the summer and always stoping to say hello and give a hug. Heather had the best hugs. Heather and I enjoyed antique shopping, I remember going out with her to look at antiques and for lunch. As I grew older she took me driving (I was a horrible driver) and honestly my mother didn’t know me and Heather used to do that. I was getting practice behind her back and Heather was happy to take me. She’d say “oh there’s no harm in practicing” and “your with me your mother doesn’t have to know”. Heather was a very sweet and kind individual, I will cherish the memories I have of her. I will keep her example of what it means to be a kind and outstanding person. Thank you for your love Heather, until we meet again, Bianca.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Heather's passing, she was one of the friendliest and most welcoming neighbor one could hope to meet. The neighborhood will not be the same without her in her garden on a sunny day. She will be greatly missed. Hilary and Avram

I shared some memorable moments with Heather throughout the years of my friendship with Bev. Heather always welcomed me with her smile, a hug, & interest to catch up on any news. I will miss her charm & compliments. When we could "catch up", she asked "& how old are you now?" & generously shaved off 10 yrs to the truth (lol). Coming from the savy, independant & styled woman I admired, was a treat. It became our later reintroductions after a year or two passed, in momemts of memories to share, I am remembering her & grateful for all she offered me. Since her 90th, I am sad these last years didn’t offer opportunity to share another visit, or a dinner, "to catch up" again. With heartfelt condolences to the family. Sandi

We are very grateful to have had Heather as our neighbour since 2013. Funny and friendly, she shared many interesting stories over the years of her fascinating life. She was always very kind to our children and I am glad they got to know her. Heather will be missed! The neighbour hood won’t be the same. Natalie, Ryan, Sam and Rowan Forbes.
