Obituary of Giovanni Callea

CALLEA, Giovanni

February 13, 1947 – March 26, 2022 

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Giovanni Callea on Saturday March 26th, 2022 at the age of 75. Loving father to sons Paolo (Marie) Francesco (Tonya) and Patrick (Brianne). Proud Nonno to Serena, Brandon and Rocco. Loyal companion to Colleen. Giovanni was born in Reggio Calabria (Orti, Superiore) to the late Fortunata Ieracitano and Paulo Callea. He will be sorely missed by his siblings and many nieces and nephews. Giovanni was a proud member of LiUNA local 625 for 35 years and worked many of those years with Giorgi Bros Inc. In his spare time you could find Giovanni tending to his garden or on Erie St. at Gennaros Cafe sipping espresso with good friends while playing a game of cards. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7234 on Thursday March 31, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service to be held Friday April 1, at 10am and end in the Funeral Home Chapel.
