Obituary of Lidia Piccinelli
Passed away peacefully on March 27, 2022, at the age of 93. Reunited with her loving husband Domenico (2009) with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, and parents Maria and Giovanni Bonassin. Loving mother of the late Fulvio (1957), Mary (Pete) Lopez, Diana Piccinelli, Claudia (George) Griffin, and Frank (Linda) Piccinelli. Beloved Nonna of Jessie Lopez-Janisse (Adam), Ian Griffin, Vanessa (Simon) Lizotte, Emily Piccinelli. Bis-Nonna of Sofia and Isabella Janisse. Predeceased by brother Antonio Bonassin and sister Maria Russi. Lidia will be missed and remembered by her niece, Sonja and nephew Bruno, and sister-in-law Maria Piccinelli. Lidia’s family would like to thank Aspen Lake for their compassion and tender care. Our gratitude is also extended to Mary Jane, her neighbour, who offered Lidia support and companionship in her later years.
Friends are welcome to join Lidia’s family for visitation at Most Precious Blood Parish, on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 9:45am until the time of Celebration of Life at 10:30am. Arrangements are entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234. For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor.
