Obituary of Anna Mary Buchok

BUCHOK, Anna Mary (nee Popadiuk)  

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Anna Mary Buchok into the Lord’s loving arms, on March 17, 2022, at the age of 91. She is reunited with her loving husband and soulmate Nicholas (2010) with whom she was married for 59 years. Cherished mother to Maria Kelly and husband Michael, Paula Buchok, Stephanie Desjarlais and husband David, Nicholas Buchok and wife Mary.  Loving Baba to Sonya, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Andrea, Brian, Mary Beth, Daryl, Brendan, Nicholas, Trevor, Rachelle-Michelle, and Jack.  Loving Baba-Anna to many great-grandchildren.  Survived by her brother David Popaduke and wife Lorine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anna is predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Dymetro, one sister and five brothers. Anna was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage. She was a long-time member of the Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church choir, as well as the Catholic Women’s League.  

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234, on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 6-9pm. Panachyda (prayers) and eulogies at 8pm. Visitation continues at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church, 601 Lake Trail Drive, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 9:30am until the time of funeral service at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. The family requests that visitors wear masks. If you cannot attend the funeral service, please feel free to Live Stream the service (link on the Windsor Chapel website).
