Obituary of Rufina Mucciaccio
MUCCIACCIO, Rufina
December 22nd, 1927- March 14th, 2022
Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on March 14th, 2022 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of 72 years to the late Antonio Mucciaccio (2020). Predeceased by her parents Michele and Maria Nicola. Loving mother of John Mucciaccio (the late Lina) and Clementina Silvestri (Fulvio). Beloved nonna of Antonietta Silvestri, Diana Gifford (Darren), Ruth Paesano (Vince) and Antonella Belcastro (Rino). Cherished bis nonna of Alexia, Tyler, Adrian, Mikayla, Danica, Sienna, Aidan and Lucas. Dear Sister to the late Salvatore Mucciaccio (Maria), the late Carolina Colombo (the late Celestino), the late Michele Antonio Mucciaccio (the late Nicolina), Vincenzo Mucciaccio (the late Maria), the late Domenico Mucciaccio (Itala). Predeceased by her sister-in-law Antonietta Rufina Colombo (the late Michele Antonio) and brother-in-law Nick Mucciaccio (Anna Maria). Rufina is also survived by nieces and nephews in Windsor and Toronto. Rufina worked as a housekeeper at Assumption College and provided faithful service as a homemaker for the Basilian fathers for 35 years before she retired. She had a passion for cooking, and was known for tending to her garden, especially with her husband Tony. Rufina’s greatest passion was her love towards her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids who she cherished. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the ladies from Paramed and the staff on 7 East at Windsor Regional Hospital- Ouellette Campus for their care and compassion for Rufina. Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519.253.7234 on Friday March 18th from 2-4:30pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral services on Saturday March 19th, 2022 to begin at the funeral home at 11am, with procession to mass for 12pm at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave, Windsor, ON). Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1525 ON-3, Oldcastle). On behalf of Rufina donations are appreciated to St. Angela Merici Church or Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
