Obituary of Mary Jones

Jones (nee Jarvis), Mary Elizabeth

In loving memory of a dear mother and grandmother who passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on March 10, 2022 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Dennis Jones (1995) for 46 years. Loving mother of Michael (Karen) and Barry (Francesca). Loving Grandma to Kate (Chris) and Stephen (Jennifer). Dear sister to the late Ivy (Ivan) and late Victor (Bessie). Mary is survived by her nieces Lynda, Jennifer, Sian and nephews Ian and Wayne, all in the UK.

Mary lived a full life to her final day. An ECE teacher both in the UK and Windsor that cared deeply about the children she helped in their early years. A giving person who served in the Red Cross, supported the Red Hat Ladies and a long-standing choir participant at St Marks Church in Tecumseh. A globe trotting traveler until 92 and now has taken her final journey. Mom will be missed and remembered by many.

A special thank you to staff and residents at Amica Riverside for providing a wonderful home for Mom for many years. Our appreciation is extended as well to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus and the Windsor Essex Hospice for their compassionate care during Mary’s last days.

Funeral Visitation at Windsor Chapel, Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Saturday, March 19th from 10 am - 11:30 am. Service in the Chapel at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens. Masks are mandatory at the funeral home and cemetery.
