Obituary of Regina "Rosina" Ortolan

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Rosina on March 4, 2022, at 95 years of age. Beloved wife of Francesco (1999). Dear mother of Valerie (Sam) Ferraro, and Alida (Tony) De Marco. Loving Nonna to Melissa (Shannon) Sampson, Tanya (Ryan) Allison, Maribeth (Chris) Cindric. Treasured great-grandmother to her amazing boys Justin, Michael and Jack.  

Also survived by many very special nieces and nephews.  

A heartfelt thank you to Dolce Vita Retirement home for their care and compassion and to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. for their exceptional care from all nurses and staff.  

Rosina took pleasure in watching her granddaughters and great grandsons grow over the many years here. She was a part of every celebration and the centre of every holiday. Rosina took pride in her gardening, cooking, travelling and riding her electric bike. She can now ride off into the sunset to reunite with her husband for their next adventure. Cheers Rosie! 

Masks are required for all events. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. on Tuesday March 8, 2022, from 4-8p.m. A chapel service will take place on March 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
