Obituary of Peter Carom

CAROM, Peter It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Peter, a beloved Brother, Uncle and Friend, on February 14, 2022 at the age of 70. Peter was born on September 19, 1951 in Windsor, Ontario. He was the beloved son of the late Fred Carom and Adele Karam. Loving brother to late Dr. Donald Carom (2022) and surviving wife Laure, Diane Carom Eid and husband LeRoy, late Dr. Robert Carom (2015) and late George Carom (2003) and surviving wife Pamela. Cherished uncle to Donna Collins (Doug), Marlene Thompson (Dr. Andrew), Carolyn Colley (Tom), Michelle Bertakis (Jimmy), Donald Carom (Jennifer); and all their families. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his many friends in Windsor, Las Vegas and Miami, Florida. In his youth, Peter attended St. Peter Elementary School (Tecumseh), F. J. Brennan High School and Assumption University. He was a retired teacher with the Windsor-Essex County Catholic District School Board where he taught at many different schools throughout Windsor and Essex County. During his teaching years, Peter was actively involved with coaching and refereeing many different school sporting events. Peter was a car enthusiast who loved his antique cars, horse racing, playing pool and cycling. He was very proud of his accomplishment of climbing to the peak of Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hilary. At Peter's request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Peter's Lebanese Maronite Church (166 Tecumseh Rd. W.) for a Memorial Mass to Celebrate his Life at 11:30am. Reservations and masks are required to attend the Memorial Mass.
