Obituary of Maria Apollonia Pest

PEST, Maria Apollonia (nee Fahr) 

Passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022 at Oak Park Terrace at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents Andreas, Theresa and Anna Fahr. Beloved wife of the late Stefan (2005). Loving mother of Stefanie Pest (Michelle) and Rosemarie Bigelow (Bruce). Cherished Oma of Michael Pest (Courtney), Patrick Pest, Bruce Bigelow (Shelby) and Krystina Bigelow and treasured Oma to great grandchildren Revan Bigelow and Kayleigh Price. Survived by her sisters Eva Demke and Baerbel Winnes and her brother Andreas Fahr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family. Many thanks to the staff at Chartwell Oak Park Terrace, Windsor and St. Elizabeth for your loving care. Maria retired from General Motors Trim Plant after 30 years of service, a member of Local 1973 and she was a member of the CWL at St. Michael's German Church. She will be forever remembered for her love of gardening and nature. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Reservations are needed to attend the funeral service only, please contact the funeral home between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to reserve your seat.
