Obituary of Vincenzo Panecaldo

PANECALDO, Vincenzo
June 29, 1926 - January 2, 2022
 
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Vincenzo on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Anna (Liburdi) for 66 years. Cherished father of John and wife Bev (Guthrie), Tony and wife Kelly (McCann). Proud Nonno of Victoria and Nicholas. Survived by sister Giuseppina D’Annibale (late Angelo), in laws Lorenzina Panecaldo (late Lorenzo), Filippo Liburdi (late Rosa), Clementina Liburdi (late Renzo), Santina and Walter Pandolfi, and Antonio Liburdi. Predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Giovanna, in laws Sebastiano and Francesca Liburdi, brothers Salvatore and Antonio, and brother in law Giuseppe Liburdi (Giuseppina). Vincenzo came to Canada with his young family from Ceccano Italy in 1967 with the hope of providing a better life for his family. He worked hard to accomplish that goal. He was a man of very few needs and few words who cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed  spending his time tending to his garden and making wine. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (SOUTH CHAPEL) 3048 Dougall Ave. On Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A private service will be held in the funeral chapel with the immediate family, on Friday, January 7, 2022. Entombment to follow at Windsor memorial gardens. Masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses on 5 North MET Campus and to the PSW’s from St. Elizabeth’s Healthcare.
