Obituary of Olivier Parent

Parent, Olivier "Olly Sr."

Passed away on December 9, 2021 in hospital, to be reunited with his wife the late Bernadette (2016).

Loving father to Olivier “Olly Jr”.

Predeceased by parents Aurele and Elizabeth Parent.

Dear brother of Josephine and the late Alfred, Louis, Jerry, Angeline, Blaise, Donald, Agnes, Evelyn, Madeline and Alex.

He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Olly worked over 38 years for Chrysler in Canada and the USA retiring in 1988. He was a proud alumni of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets as a bugler/drummer in their band. Olly moved on as a Tenor and Bass Drummer competing with the Chrysler Highlanders Pipe Band, Detroit Highlanders, Scottish Society of Windsor, Black Raven Pipe Band, and many others over the years.

Special thanks to the staff at Brouillette Manor for their exceptional care and the Ultrawellness Centre in the USA for all their help over the years.

Visitation at Windsor Chapel, Central Chapel, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 4:30 pm.

Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, 2735 University Ave West on Thursday, January 6th at 11 am.

Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Mausoleum.
