Obituary of Michael O'Keefe

O’KEEFE, Michael Thomas
March 12, 1947 - December 13, 2021

Passed away suddenly on December 13, 2021 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Mary O’Keefe, step-mother Dorothy O’Keefe, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Betty Sylvestre. Beloved husband of Mary Jane for 51 years. Loving father of Shawn (Melissa) and Grant (Troada). Proud grandfather of Sofia, Theodore, Chiara, Gregory, Gemma and Daphne. Dear brother of Kathy (the late Colin). Michael is survived by his brothers-in-law James Sylvestre (Jeanette), Dennis Sylvestre (Sharon) and his sister-in-law Mary Edna Marion (the late Danny) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother-in-law John Sylvestre (the late Kathy, the late Bev). Mike will also be lovingly remembered by many special cousins, and close friends.

Michael was a hardworking and successful business man and farmer for most of his life. He grew up working on the family farm, proud to carry on the family legacy. Mike began his trucking and excavating business in the mid-1960s as a young man, and maintained a reputation of reliability, dedication and ultra-clean equipment throughout his long career. Mike’s favourite things included looking out over his fields, cruising on a boat, spending time with his friends, watching his grandchildren play, and being with his family.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anne's Parish  on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11am. Reservations are required to attend the funeral service.
