Obituary of John Chaborek

CHABOREK, Eugene John

Passed away peacefully on December 12, 2021 at the age of 98. Reunited with his loving wife Mary (nee Dancho), with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Heroic father to Jane Bourque, Rick Chaborek (Nancy), Jim Chaborek (Mary) and Tom Chaborek (Mary). John will be remembered as a loving grandfather to Angie, Trevor, Lacey, Kristen, late Ryan, Jordan, Krystal, Justina, Brittany, Emma, and 13 great grandchildren. Reunited with his 3 brothers; Steve, Walter and Mike. He will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.

John was a World War II Veteran serving at the young age of 17. He was adored by his grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chartwell Oak Park Terrace and Met hospital- Nurses and Doctors for their care and compassion. Also, a special thank you to Veteran’s Affairs.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234 on Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A Veterans Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 1pm in the Chapel. Reservations are required to attend the funeral service. Please call Windsor Chapel (519-253-7234) between the hours of 8am-4pm to book your reservation. In memory of John, donations may be made to National Poppy Trust Fund.
