Obituary of Irena Teresa Rennert

RENNERT, Irena Teresa (nee Parusel) 
October 16, 1946 – November 29, 2021 
Passed away peacefully on November 29, 2021 at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Palliative Care Center in Windsor, Ontario, at the age of 75. Predeceased by her parents Jozef and Magdalena Parusel (nee Trocer). Irena leaves behind her 3 children; Ewelina Rennert, Mirella Russell (Peter) and Daniel Rennert (Nadia) and her beloved 7 grandchildren: Brooke, Daniel, Isabelle, Sevana, Saverio, Mateo, Melena, and her siblings Danuta Donnerstag (Andrzej), Janek Parusel and the late Bronislawa Gulinska. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended friends and family in Poland and Germany.  Irena was born in Poland where she was loved and respected by all her family and friends. In 1989, Irena brought her family to Canada to seek refuge and political asylum.  Her life was full of hardships and sacrifices but also full of love for her children, and especially her grandchildren.  She showed her love in many ways but mostly through nourishing people with food.  Her favorite saying was “I love coffee, I love tea, but above all I love my family”.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Wendy Anne Kennette, Dr. Karim Marzouk and the many other doctors, nurses and staff for their wonderful care and empathy.  Thank you to the incredible nursing staff at the Windsor Regional Hospital, The Windsor Cancer Clinic and especially Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Palliative Center, who took the most amazing care of her and brought her so much comfort.
