Dear Furlong family,
I have just learned today of your father's passing last November and it has left me feeling very sad. I met Pat as a lay bencher of the Law Society and sat with him on disciplinary hearing panels for many years. He was always a warm, courteous, delightful companion and colleague—I so enjoyed seeing him on numerous trips to Toronto, when out-of-town benchers and Tribunal members would gather at the Hilton Hotel, or meet up at LSUC (as it was then) offices.
I was shocked to discover he was 96—he seemed ageless to me! I shall remember him warmly and will miss seeing him greatly.
What a lovely man he was—please accept my sincere condolences on your enormous loss.
