CULUMOVIC, Ana (née Basic)

It is with great sadness that the family of Ana Culumovic (née Basic) announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 85. Ana will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Petar; her son, Duke (Laura); her grandchildren, Katie (Jeff), Nicole (Mark), and Michael (Emily). Ana also leaves behind her sister, Marija (Marko) Kasumovic; her brother Jandre (Kata) Basic; her nieces, Anna Kasumovic, Tina (Greg) MacKenzie; and her nephews, Nick Basic, John (Kim) Basic. Ana was predeceased by her parents, Nikola and Marija Basic. She will be fondly remembered for her open friendliness, love of laughter and engaging story telling. Ana cherished all of her family and friends both here in Canada and her homeland, Croatia. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234 on Friday November 26, 2021 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Friday at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 9:15am from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Masks are required to attend visitation, Funeral Mass and cemetery service. Reservations are required to attend the Funeral Mass.
