Obituary of Vito "Bill" LoDuca
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vito Lo Duca, 83 years old, on January 11th, 2021 at WRH Met Campus due to multiple complications from sepsis. Beloved husband of nearly 53 years to Joyce (nee Davidson). He was a caring and devoted father to his children Christopher (Pam), Tina, Liana (Paul) and Danielle and proud grandpa to 6 grandchildren who he adored with all his heart, Meagan & Stephanie, Brenden & Hunter and Silas & River. He is reunited with his dear mother Grace (nee Ballaera, 2011), father Giuseppe (1997) & nephew John Matthew Vargyas (1997). Vito is survived by his loving brothers and sisters Tony (Patty), Rosie (Wally), Gino (Denise), Joseph (Sue), Sylvia (Tony) & David (Dorothy). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Vito was born in Partinico, Sicily on October 22, 1937. He immigrated with his family to Canada by way of the United States on July 21st, 1950. The family settled in Windsor, Ontario where he would later meet his wife in a church choir and they built their life together. Vito loved his family above all else and was always there for anyone who needed help. Vito was a machinist at the Ford Motor Company (Unifor local 200) for 30 years and retired in grand style in 2000. Vito was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 8919 council. He enjoyed his retirement and used it to spend as much time as possible with his family here in Windsor and at his trailer in Bayfield. Vito will always be remembered for his zest for life and a good party, his wonderfully operatic singing voice, his infectious laugh and for making the best pizzas in town.
We are deeply appreciative of the exceptional care provided to our father from the medical staff of Erie Shores Healthcare, WRH Ouellette Campus & WRH Metropolitan Campus.
