Obituary of Germaine Rawlins

Germaine “Jean” Maria Rawlins (nee: Wambeke)

Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on November 14, 2021, just two weeks after her 99^th birthday. Reunited with loving husband Blake Richard. Cherished mother to Blake (Deanna) Rawlins, Dennis (Valerie) Rawlins, and the late David Rawlins. Beloved Gram to Krista Goodchild (Marcel), Nicole (Michael) Mooring, Dr. Jenna Rawlins (Dr. Paul Del Rizzo), and Warren Rawlins. Treasured “Big Gram” to Brian and Connor Goodchild, Christian and Alexa Mooring, and Andrew and Simon Del Rizzo. Jean was known as the community “Avon Lady” for 50 years and would often achieve the President’s Club Award, which was a proud accomplishment for Jean. She was a devout Catholic and was a long-time member of St. Rose of Lima and then Our Lady of Guadalupe. A special thank you to Jean’s caregivers at Riverside Place for their care and compassion shown to our mother.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2-5pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:30am. Reservations are required to attend mass. Please call WINDSOR CHAPEL (519-253-7234) between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm to book your reservations. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In memory of Jean, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Windsor.
