CITTON, Marina “Dina” (nee Zanchetta)

November 17, 1931 - October 16, 2021

Passed away peacefully with her daughter Jane by her side on October 16, 2021 at the age of 89 years.

Loving wife of Antonio Citton (October 16, 2020) for 63 years.

Cherished Mother of Clara (late Brad 2017) Lyons and Jane (Phil) Specht.

Proud nonna of Eric, Lydia, and Rachel.

Loving sister of the late Vanda, the late Corrado, the late Sergio, and Franca and their families in Italy.

Loving sister-in-law of the late Lisetta, the late Giovanni, Gino, Carletto, Marcelo, the late Teresina, Giuseppe, and Valerio and their families in Canada, Italy, and Australia.

Marina will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada, Italy, the U.S.A., and Australia.

Marina was a homemaker for many years before she and Antonio owned and operated Gaspare’s Market on Langlois for over 20 years. When they sold the store, she went on to work as a store clerk at Giuliana’s Hardware until she was 75 years old. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and taking long walks with Antonio to Ford Test Track and at Devonshire Mall. She was also a proud parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church.

Marina will always be remembered for her dedication and commitment to her family.

A special thank you to PSWs Catherine and Julie, and nurses Anastasie and Carissa for their dedication to Marina’s care and for always making mom smile.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A Chapel Service will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Reservations are required to attend the chapel service and cemetery. Please call the funeral home between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to reserve your seat. Masks must be worn while in the funeral home and cemetery.
