Guy was a great friend, we shared many a laugh over a couple of beers in a lifetime of friendship. My favourite story. Guy was one of my first supervisors at the GM Windsor Transmission Plant. Part of his job was delivering my weekly lay off notice along with my pay cheque. I had basically just signed the papers to purchase my very first house just as the notices began. Guy was an excellent supervisor who took interest and worried about his employees. I still have a tear in my eye thinking about how Guy offered to buy my house from me as he gave me the most recent layoff notice. Each week Guy offered to buy my house but of course informing me the offer will keep going down each week as we get closer and closer to the actual layoff. What a sweet heart. lol
Guy was also my wife Sue's first supervisor and a long term friendship developed which included his wife Mary Lou and his children Brian and Scott and our children Matthew and Erica. Our love and friendship goes out to Mary Lou and I will missing the vibrancy of Guy. Me and Guy never ran short on words ever as we both enjoyed a drink as we listened to each other yarns over and over and over again. Your light may have dimmed but your flame is too bright and shall burn forever. Mike and Sue Thomas
