Obituary of Darla MacMaster

MacMaster, Darla (nee Manning)

February 20, 1967 - October 15, 2021

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Darla, surrounded by her loving family, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Darla leaves behind the love of her life, Alexander "Sandy" with whom she celebrated 25 glorious years of marriage. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter Kendall, who gave them the light in their eyes and the song in their souls. She will also be missed by her parents Imelda and the late James Manning. A warrior sister to Jim and Lori Manning, Wally and Kim Manning, Delores and Dave Paquin and Darlene and Richard Drouillard. Dear daughter-in-law to the late Archie and late Lillian MacMaster and Wally and Cheryl Gillis, sister-in-law to Robert and Michelle MacMaster, the late Gerald MacMaster, Kevin and Lynn MacMaster and Lorraine and Robert Rose, Ryan and Amanda Thomas and Katie and Derrick Newman. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Cancer Clinic at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus, as well as Fr. Rob Rocheleau and CCAC. Darla was a well-loved member of her community with several years involvement in the optimist club of Forest Glade and enjoyed working many of their events. Darla was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She was the best baker and loved spending time with her family. She was the absolute most loving, caring and compassionate soul who was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234. on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. A private mass will be held with the family with cremation to follow. Masks are required at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Children's Optimist Foundation or to the Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Foundation.
