Obituary of Josef Pardi
PARDI, Jozsef
February 28, 1940 - September 30, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the greatest husband, father and papa. He died at home in the loving arms of his family after a very lengthy battle with multiple illnesses. Cherished husband of Erzsebet "Elizabeth" (nee Novak). Beloved Apa of Mary "Marika" Pavlica (Robert). Greatest Papa to Vincent Jozsef Pavlica. Father to Erzsebet Nikolics and Andrea Nikolics (Gyorgy Balogh) and grandfather to Gerda Balogh. Predeceased by parents Mihaly and Rozsalia (nee Csernus). Brother to late Rozsalia (Janos), Marika (Gruber), late Mihaly (Erzsebet), Ava (Pauli) and late Tomas (Ilona). Brother-in-law to, Edward Novak (Jadranka), late Richard Novak, Kimberley Novak, Shelley Novak and Gabor Torok. He will be missed by his extended family in Hungary and in Canada, including his many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Bob Nixon, Frank Molnar and Elizabeth Soros. Joszsef came to Canada in 1965 in search of a better life. He married Erzsi in 1978 and started a family. He worked at Manz Contracting Services for many years, until his first stroke. He lived for his family and his friends, always with a smile and never complaining. He fought courageously and bravely to spend his last years with his grandson, Vincent, the love of his life. He was always supportive, loving and kind, helping any way he could. Today, he is in heaven playing bingo with Angela and having a beer with all his friends from the Hungarian Club. The family would like to give a special thanks to nurse Jenny, nurse Robert and Nurse Practitioner Angela for their compassionate care as well as the medical staff from Hospice and the LHIN. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 11-1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel.
