Obituary of Victor Domagala

DOMAGALA, Victor

May 25, 1933  - September 28, 2021 

The angels came down and took him in his sleep to our heavenly Father. Loving husband of Gail (nee Storms) for 34 years. Cherished father of Ruth (John Cushing) & Alan (Sheila). Proud stepfather of Don Durham and Heather (Graham Johnston). Adored grandfather of Zachary, Sarah (Josh), Doug, Max, Mackenzie, Kyleigh, Kian, Cole, Jacob and his great-grandson Theo. Predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Steve Domagala, and his son Steven (1982). Survived by his sister Helen (Jack McConnell) and brother-in-law Craig and Cam (Guy) Storms. He will be missed and remembered by many nieces and nephews here and in Poland. He retired as treasurer of the Town of Amherstburg (1998). He was a life member of Dom Polski, where he served as treasurer for many years. He was also, a past member of the Polish Alliance of Canada. Received from the Canadian Polish Congress the Bronze Reward of Merit in appreciation of his contribution to the Polish Canadian Community. Victor was a long-time member of the Church of the Ascension. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (SOUTH CHAPEL) 3048 Dougall Ave., on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Visitation at the Church of the Ascension (1385 University Ave W., Windsor) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00am. In keeping with Victor’s wishes cremation will follow. Masks are required at visitation and Funeral Service. Reservations are required to attend the Funeral Service. Please call Windsor Chapel at 519.253.7234 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm to secure a reservation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Church of Ascension Memorial Fund or to Holy Trinity Polish Church Restoration Fund.
