Obituary of George Zarour
ZAROUR, George
Jan 3, 1940 - Sept 26, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Cherished husband of Widad. Loving father to Lourice Jajeh (Sami), Lina Khoury (Charlie), Richard and Natalie Grammatico (Frank). Amazing grandfather to Yousef, Tania, Hanna, John, George, Andrew, Anthony, Gaby and Adam. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.
George was a man of many many talents. He was light-hearted, loved to joke around and make everybody laugh. He had a passion for reading which transferred into his extensive knowledge in world history, geography, languages and religion. He had a hungry mind for knowledge and thrived in teaching and helping those around him to understand life. The most joy he found was in the gathering of family and friends over dinner. He was a prankster who was well spoken and very convincing. While in Israel, as a tourist bus driver, he provided a very memorable and informative experience to the tourists visiting the Holy Land. Through all of his experiences, his most adored was loving his wife of 51 years, Widad. This was made evident and had a long lasting imprint on her and their children. A very good example to follow.
The family would like to give special thanks to nurses and staff at the Village of Aspen Lakes for their uncompromised compassionate care.
