Obituary of Francois Ernest Paré

Paré, Francois (Frank)

Born April 28 1931

Passed away peacefully on Sept 24 2021 at 90 years of age with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Loving husband and best friend for 69 years to Cecile (NEE: Desjardins). Cherished father of John (late), James (Kerri), Veronica (Todd), Maryanne (Ray), Patrick (Sherri), Paul (Mary), and Frank (Lori). Loving Pepe of 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Frank and Cecile married on Sept 6 1952 and after 8 long years of trying to have children they adopted John, though they knew one wouldn’t be enough so along came James, they were delighted with their two boys but still felt they had more love to share so they adopted Veronica, than Maryanne and Pat and Paul…. after adopting 6 children they were blessed with one of their own………. Frank.

Life was busy raising a big family - Frank was a meat butcher by trade often shuffling 2-3 jobs to support them but he always made sure to be home to tuck them in bed and kiss them good night. Frank retired early (due to health reasons) and was able to enjoy over 35 work free years! Frank had many passions, playing pool, playing cards …...sometime euchre but mostly poker, and in his retirement years he developed a love for Dresden-Frank and Cecile would travel to Dresden to play the slot machines! - the kids quickly realized that if the car wasn’t home or no one picked up the phone they were out having fun (as they described it). BUT what he really enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends, he loved Sunday drives in the country always looking forward to a great meal to end the day, and don’t forget the ice cream! We were so blessed to have him for this long in our lives and he will be missed dearly! We are comforted in knowing that Jesus Christ has taken him home as his faith was strong until the end, and we will all meet again one day.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Monday September 27, 2021 from 5-8 pm. A private Funeral Service and interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery will be held at a later date. No reservations required for the Visitation. Please wear a mask when attending the visitation at all times.
