Passed away at home unexpectedly on September 22, 2021 at the age of 82. Loving wife of William R. Smith of Windsor, Ontario. Predeceased by her first husband Lloyd Eastlake (1993) and by her parents George and Patricia Logan (nee Baechler).  Loving mother of Lyle Eastlake of Toronto, ON, Ross Eastlake of Windsor, ON, Cheryle Eastlake of Windsor, ON, Richard Eastlake of London, ON and Diane LeBlanc  (Jeff) of Windsor, ON. Cherished grandmother of Emma and Derek Eastlake of Sturgeon Falls, ON, Alyshia and Kimberly Myles of London, ON, Lucas Smith of Windsor, ON, Rachael Pickett of Windsor, ON, Justin and Jacob LeBlanc of Edmonton, AB and beloved great grandmother of Evelyn Myles of London, ON, and Julian and Jaidyn Pickett of Windsor, ON. Dear sister of Dorothy Villemair (Rene) of Sturgeon Falls, ON, Pat Hallam (Jim) of London, ON, George Logan (Nora) of London, ON, Margaret Stevens (Howard 2012), of Alberta, Helen Porter (Cecil) of Alberta, David Logan (Carmen) of Stratford, ON, Barb Gillis (George 2020) of Meadowvale, Nova Scotia, and the late Bob Logan (2011) and his surviving wife Sylivia of Rodney, ON. Ruth was an avid fan of romance novels, and loved to spend time in her garden and with her family. She loved camping, dancing, bingo and lotto. She was a past member of the Windsor Senior’s Breakfast Club and the Over 50 Club. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. Further visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home and cemetery. Reservations are required to attend the funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday. Please call the funeral home between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to reserve your seat. If you desire, donations to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
