Obituary of Michele Riggi

RIGGI, Michele November 2, 1939 - September 18, 2021 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michele "Mike." Predeceased by cherished companion, Gail Growe. Loving brother to late Peter (Oriana) and Gina Amato (Frank). Uncle to Michael Amato (Godson), Frank Riggi (Rebecca), Erica Riggi-Vrablik (Tim) and Christina Peacock (Fergus). Predeceased by parents Francesco and Onofria. Michele was completely devoted to caring for his mother for many years. He will be dearly missed by his many cousins and extended family. Michele grew up as an plasterer's apprentice in Alcamo, Sicily before coming to Canada and working as a very skilled artisan who did plastering work all around Windsor and surrounding area, including many churches and halls. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and dancer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Sunrise Senior Living. A private family visitation and committal service has taken place followed by burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. All services entrusted to Windsor Chapel.
