Obituary of Giuseppe Iarusso

It is with heavy hearts that Giuseppe Passed away peacefully when the lord called him home at the Hospice of Windsor September 20, 2021 in his young 70th year of life with his loving family by his side. Giuseppe will forever be missed by his wife of 45 years Hilda, his children Rimona (Jason Levasseur), Rina (Juliano Estephan), Rosanna (Daniel Ilievski) and Domenique (Emilio Giorgi). He was proud and honoured to be Nonno to Ethan, Sofia, Dante, Dominic, Zoey, Milan and Mateo.

Born in Agnone, Italy and immigrating to Canada in 1969, Giuseppe began his journey to a successful career in drywall. He was a much loved and highly respected drywall business owner for over 42 years and known for his perfect touches on every job completed. He spent his life as a hardworking and dedicated man to both his work and his family. He was predeceased by his parents Domenico and Gemma. He is survived by his loving siblings Tonino (Anna Maria), Franco (Ivana), Adalmo (Patrizia), Maria and Amelia (Lorenzo). Cherished brother-in-law to Sylvana (Tom) and Sonya (Thaier). He will sadly be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The family would like to thank all the health care professionals from Paramed especially Gwen for her compassionate and genuine care throughout the last 3 years. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County who comforted and cared for Giuseppe in the last few days of his life on earth.

Giuseppe “Joe” will forever be missed and remembered for his big, beautiful smile and heart of gold. He never said no to anyone he loved in his life. Joe took pride in spending quality time with his family and looked forward to every Sunday where the whole family gathered together regardless of what was going on. Although our hearts are heavy, we celebrate his life and take comfort and find peace in knowing that he is now our forever angel watching over each and every one of us everyday. We love you

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.” Your life here on earth may be over. You worked very hard and gave us all an amazing life. You may be gone from our sight, but you are never gone from our hearts. We love you, may you rest in eternal peace.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. (519) 253-7234 on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Private Funeral Mass will be held with Private entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Masks are required to attend visitation and Funeral Mass. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honor Giuseppe may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
