Obituary of Wayne Thomas

Passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2021 after a brief, hard-fought battle against cancer.
Beloved Husband of Gail. Loving Father of Cindy Taylor and Kriste Thomas. Cherished step-father of Simonne (Reg) McAuley and Tracey (Dan) Smith. Dearest Papa of Jason (Liz) McAuley, Tyler and Allie McAuley, Jessica and Katie Smith. Survived by his siblings Jay Thomas (Francine) and Nancy Thomas. Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Margaret Thomas.

Thank You to his team of caregivers at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Hospice and Bayshore. A special Thank You to Liz for her endless care and compassion shown to Wayne over the last few weeks and a heartfelt Thank You to Tina for all her support and assistance in his final days. Wayne was interested in a variety of hobbies, including; traveling, golfing, reading, renovating his home and most importantly, spending time with his family, Wayne was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local Union 235 for 50 years. Wayne retired from Ford Motor Co. in October of 2006.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234 on Thursday September 23, 2021 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and 7:00PM until 9:00PM.
