I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Momotiuk Family.
Cherished memories include many unforgettable times spent together participating in friendly horse-shoe competitions. Great times were had by all!
In 2001, Harry demonstrated his artistic ability by presenting us with a beautiful framed pencil sketch of my husband Gino. I keep it displayed in a very prominent place in my home and will always consider it a treasure!
Harry Momotiuk- a distinguished career and a life well lived!!!
Forever remembered,
Leona

My deepest sympathy to the Momotiuk family on Harry's passing. I attended Gordon McGregor School with Harry in the 1940's and have a grade 8 class picture with Harry in it. Harry was always a friendly and supportive person. We benefitted from great teachers and I am sure they would all be very proud of Harry for his accomplishments in the law but more importantly as a genuine human being.
Sincerely
Mike Saffran

Our thoughts and prayers to the Momotiuk family at this difficult time.
We both had the honour of appearing before Justice Momotiuk as counsel. He was a judge who always wanted to administer justice in a fair and impartial manner- to get to the right and just result.
Moreover both in and out of the courtroom he was always the quintessential gentleman, who treated all lawyers, staff , witnesses accused and counsel with respect.
Men like Justice Momotiuk make the world a better place.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Justice Momotiuk. I, Sarah Weisman, had the honor of appearing before Justice Momotiuk on a number of occasions. He was always a gentleman. In fact, while looking for a courthouse, I almost ran him down with my vehicle. I was new to Windsor and had no idea who he was. He was crossing the street and his court garb was not visible. I apologized profusely and he was extremely gracious. I parked my vehicle, went into the courthouse, and to my surprise, Justice Momotiuk was sitting on the bench. I was hugely embarrassed. However, Justice Momotiuk dealt with the situation with kindness and a sense of humor. Again, our deepest sympathies. - Stipic Weisman LLP

Please accept my most sincere condolences. at this sad time. I had the honour of practicing before His Honour from the day of his appointment until the day of his retirement from the bench and always found him to be a true gentleman with a clear sense of duty and respect. He carefully listened to all those who came before him and had a healthy respect for the presumption of innocence and the rule of law. I also admired him for his love of learning and enjoyed many chats with him over the years. Although he gave so much to our legal community and will be very sorely missed in that regard, I know that his love for his family and pride in their accomplishments was of the utmost importance to him and we once again sent our sympathies to the entire family. Sincere condolences to the Momotiuk family on the passing of your beloved dad. Harry was a longtime, good friend to my late dad Bill Kisil and late uncle John Kisil. Many a good time was had at the various Ukrainian functions and social events they all attended, as well as their work many years ago with the Ukrainian Credit Union. I remember your dad as a friendly, kind man with a great smile. I hope you find comfort in knowing that your parents are happily reunited once again.

I mourn the loss of a decent and good man. They do not create a better human being than Harry Momotiuk. I had the distinct good fortune of sharing an apartment at the Bar Admission Course in Toronto- 1965-66 with three Ukrainian friends which included Harry. It was clear from the beginning that Harry was probably the nicest, dedicated, hard working man I would ever meet in my lifetime. That observation was proven to be true from that time forward. My sincere condolences to the family during these sad times especially losing your mom and dad in such a short time period. Their legacies are enshrined in the Windsor- Essex community and in your hearts. You can be so proud of your dad and mom. Best of the Best. May Harry's soul rest in eternal peace.

Dearest Momotiuk Family,
There are no words to describe the sadness we all felt when we heard of Judge Momotiuk’s passing. He was such an honorable, dignified man and yet humble, all at the same time. I loved his sense of humour, especially when he would say that during sentencing, his convicted felons would choose jail time over a visit to my dental office. I will always admire his determination to succeed in life and his commitment to family, from the early days on Drouillard Rd., when he would help his parents financially with his hard-earned shoe shining income. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May God rest his soul and give you strength during this difficult time.
In deepest sympathy,
Dr. Monique Siara and Staff

It is with great sadness that I learned last night of the passing of Justice Momotiuk. I worked for him going back to 1977 as a Judges' Sectetary up to my retirement in December, 2012. I have many fond memories. I remember coming back from my vacation in 1987 and bringing back all the Judges an Ashtray, and going into His Honour's office on the second floor of the old Provincial Courts Building and telling Judge Momotiuk all about my vacation and after that he vacationed quite a bit.
Deepest sympathy to family and friends on the passing of Justice Momotiuk. He will be missed by family and friends.
