Obituary of Katherine Marie Moir
MOIR, Katherine “Kathi”, After a long and courageous battle on September 5, 2021 at the age of 66, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, Katherine has gone to be with the Lord. Precious wife and best friend to Randall “Randy” James Moir for 47 years. Loving and devoted mother to James Christopher Roy Moir (Amber) and Shannon Marie Moir-Riendeau (Guy). Loving grandmother “Pim” to Tyler, Paige and Caiden. Dear daughter of Ann Veldheizen (Moe) and the late James Eansor. Beloved sister to Tom (Sandi), Terry (Nancy), Tim (Renee), Peggy (Mark), Mary Lou (Rob) and Maureen (Mike). Special thanks to Shannon, Mary Lou, Maureen and Renee for their selfless dedication to Kathi during her final days. The Moir family will be forever grateful to the kindness and compassion of nurses Jennifer and Gwen. Lady Kathi will be missed by her many friends and acquaintances at the Windsor Yacht Club and Crane Rental Association of Canada. She lived her life making fond memories and not unfulfilled dreams. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friends and family are asked to meet at Good Shepherd Parish on Thursday, September 9, 2021 for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Reservations are required to attend the funeral Mass, please call the funeral home between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 p.m. to reserve your seat. Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home and church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barry and Stephanie Zekelman Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House-Windsor Chapter, would be greatly appreciated.
