Paul and I were surprised and saddened to hear of Dr. Silverman's passing. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to his wife Dr. Andrea Silverman and his entire family.
I had the privilege of working with Jerry and his amazing team from 1983 to 1995.
He was a kind and generous employer and a great Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon.
I have many fond memories of my time working with Jerry. One example of his generosity is the time he took his entire staff and their spouses to the Bahamas one Christmas Season.
I am sure he will be sadly missed by his family, friends and collogues
Paul and I have him in our thoughts and prayers..

Such sad news! My heart breaks for Andrea and family! Jerry was such a kind, loving and generous man! I had the pleasure of being his assistant for 16 years. I have countless memories of what great guy he was throughout the years of employment. Always supportive of his staff, and had a Big Heart for those less fortunate. So happy that he chose Aspen as his resting place. Sending much Love to his beautiful Andrea and his wonderful children. He will forever be remembered. Xoxoxo

Dearest Andrea and family,
Our family was so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. Collectively we have had a long history together in the dental profession. Jerry was always a pleasure to socialize with both at work and at our dental meetings/parties. We will never forget his generosity of hosting Detroit Tiger games in his suite. I don’t recall ever seeing him without a smile on his face. May God rest his soul and give you all strength during this difficult time.
In deepest sympathy,
Monique, John, Carmen, Ioan and family

Jerry Silverman was one of the finest men of the many I have known. Jerry was possessed of a great intellect and was an excellent dental surgeon. Beyond that, Jerry was a kind man whose caring and compassion for others knew no bounds. Jerry and I shared a great love of sports, particularly baseball and Jerry’s Detroit Tigers. As well, Jerry was also devoted to both the Detroit Lions and Red Wings. My wife, Heather and I were privileged to be the guests of Jerry and Andrea at Tiger games and the memories of our times at Comerica Park will be lasting. Few have have mingled with the movers and shakers in both the government and sports world as did Jerry, particularly in Jerry’s home country, the United States. Heather and I shall miss our friend Jerry so very much. To Andrea, Justin, Jonathan, and Jerry’s extended family Heather and I offer our most heartfelt condolences.

We can not express how deeply saddened we are. There are many words that describe Jerry. Generous, compassionate, smart, and funny are some that come to mind. If you were lucky enough, he would share the most interesting stories with you. He loved his family very much. His eyes would light up as he spoke of them. Such a proud father. He will be deeply missed. We extend our condolences and our love to the family. Jaime, Dan, Brett, and Erin Lonnee.

The year is 1976 and I had just graduated from the University of Toronto .I set up practice first on the east side and then built
an office in Sandwich Towne. Every dentist needs an oral surgeon for the "tough cases". My problem was that a lot of the patients were on social services.Every dentist knows that the social services fee guide is about a third of the regular fee guide, consequently it was difficult to find someone to help these patients. Jerry never said no. I can't tell you how many patients were sent to him knowing he would treat them with dignity and compassion as he treated all his patients. Patients would come back
thanking us for sending them there (they also mentioned his baseball memorabilia) .He and his dad shared that love and would go south to the,I believe ,Tigers training camp. He had big hands and a big heart. I wish his retirement could have been longer because he earned it.He was a gentle bear of a man .....".send `em over gregg we`ll take care of it " that's all he'd say. Well
Jerry it's time now for someone to take care of you.Thank you on behalf of all of our patients .God bless.
your pal. Gregg Hanaka
