Obituary of Ila Diane Wilson
Passed away peacefully with loving family by her side at the age of 73.
Predeceased by her parents Elwood Ralph and Maizie Jean Land (Nee Davis) and her late brother, Ralph Land. Cherished mother of Stephanie Wilson. Proud Nana of Pierce Phills and Paige Phills. Adored Aunt to Jason Land, Jailyn and Jordyn. She will be sadly missed by many extended Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
Ila loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren watching movies. She also enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time with her 3 close friends: Barbara Scott, Donna Grayer and Marsha Wilson. Ila was known for being a strong woman with great humor, and sense of style. In her early years she enjoyed playing the saxophone for her Uncle Harry’s Windsor Community Band, Sherwood Community Band, and singing (alto) at the church with the Joy Singers.
She looked forward to watching her granddaughter’s sports games where she would cheer and beam with pride and entertaining trips to the stores with her grandson.
A few of her final words were “I love you” and “I will always be country.”
A special Thank You to Transition To Betterness - Palliative Care Unit for their outstanding care and compassion shown to Ila during her final days.
