Obituary of Luciano Santarossa

SANTAROSSA, Luciano

July 20,1939- August 4th,2021

Passed away suddenly on August 4th 2021 at the age of 82. Reunited with wife Marina (2013), pre-deceased by his parents Guerino (Emma). Loving father to Roberto (Christine) and Lisa Lozelle (Paul). Proud Nonno to Marc, Sean, Nicholas, and Emily. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Windsor, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, and Italy.

Luciano was known to always enjoy watching a good hockey game, whether it was his favourite team the Montreal Canadiens, or if it was his cherished Grandsons on the ice. He was always known to love bowling and did so for many years. Luciano as well enjoyed making his homemade wine, (he often described as “unboleevable”), and took great pride in his personal yard and gardens. He worked hard as a stonemason/Bricker layer for many years, where he expressed his artistic side. Several of his projects can be seen throughout the city such as the windmill at Sandwich and Mill Streets, Masonic Monument at Malden Park, and many more. He was especially proud of his masterpiece at 358 Old Tecumseh Road. Most importantly Luciano was known for his character, he never hesitated to help others. Always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
