Obituary of Shirley Ann Scollon
Passed away peacefully at home July 27, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Charles Scollon. Dear Mom of Carey Lewis (Wendy), Cheryl Sprague (Peter), Leslie Durham (David) and Bryan Lewis. Beloved sister of Carol Cook (late Bob) and the late Wayne Duncan. Adored friend of Nuccha Santia. Beloved Nana of Scott Sprague (Jenn), Ryan Sprague (Sabrina), Bray Scott-Lewis, Jennifer Sprague-Oglan (Tyler), Ally Durham and Katie Durham. Loving GG of Savannah, London and Jack. Shirley will be missed by her lunch cousins Rose, Norv and Bunny, Joe and Sandy, Marg and John, Linda Wilson and Donna Scott. Shirley loved animals especially her dear pets Libby and Honey. As a teenager in high school, Shirley loved playing sports and staying active. Her early adult years were spent working at the Windsor Star and caring for the elderly as a P.S.W. She always had music playing, loved to sing, dance and had a deep love of all animals. Shirley had numerous physical issues but was a fighter until the end. As one of her favorite doctors once said, “Now there’s a cat with nine lives.” Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm. A private service will take place on Saturday, July 31, 2021 with cremation to follow. Masks are required to attend the visitation. Reservations are not required to attend the visitation.
