LUCAS, Geoffrey James 

April 27, 1951 – July 15, 2021

It is with great and profound sadness that after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer we announce the passing of Geoff. He is predeceased by his parents Eric and Edith Lucas of Deerlake Newfoundland, and reunited with his wife Anne Lucas, his daughter Elissa Lucas and Grandson Angel Lucas. Geoff was an amazing father, role model and devoted grandfather, he leaves behind five daughters. Erica (Jewelz), Elizabeth (Bill), Erin, Eileen and Emily and their children Desiray, Dustin, Caidence and Joceline, Liam, Maggie and Geoffrey, Jylynn, JJ and Micah, Brooklynn and Tristan and Antonio, Vincenzo. He was one of five siblings who were as thick as thieves Sandra (Don) of Kitchener ON, Rob (Rita) of Hinton AB, Cathy (Clive) of Deerlake NL, John of Kitchener ON and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He leaves behind his mother-in-law, whom he shared a close connection to, Anne Hutton (Glen), Step-brother Darren (Heather) and step-sister Robynn (Brian) and their families. His brother-in-law and best friend Danny Williams (Sheri) and their families. Geoff was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his sister-in-law Sue Jorgensen (Ricky). Geoff leaves behind many friends and family in St. Catherines, Labrador City, Newfoundland and throughout Ontario. Geoff also leaves his special friend Carol Smith. Anywhere he went he was loved and looked up to by many.

Geoff was a dedicated employee at Ford Motor company for over 30 years as a millwright. Retired for only a few years he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and fishing. 

We would like to thank the staff at Windsor Regional hospital in the Cancer program and in the Oncology wing as well as the staff at The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234 on Saturday July 17, 2021 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and Sunday July 18, 2021 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM. Masks are required at all times.

In lieu of floral arrangements, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor-Essex County or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
