Obituary of Joseph Dauphin

DAUPHIN, Joseph

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Dauphin on June 16, 2021 after sustaining head injuries in a fall. He was born August 11, 1976 in Windsor, Ontario and remained a life long Windsor resident for 44 years.

Joe (“Joey”) is best remembered by his pleasant demeanour, his generosity, and his kind and quiet soul. Joe’s life was not an easy one and he struggled with many issues. The score card did not end well in his favour but through it all he shone as an example of true strength and how we can all persevere through troubled times. He was an instant friend to everyone he met and he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back in spite of having very little himself. He loved style and décor and always took pride in the way he looked.

In many ways, Joe displayed a level of courage in the face of great adversity that is admirable and glorified the Lord. His life was a living example of Romans 5:3-5:

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Joe is predeceased by his loving Mother, Nora Dauphin and his brother, Brian Dauphin. He is survived and sadly missed by his Father, David Dauphin, sister Wanita Eggett and husband Chris, nieces and nephews Alexis, Jennifer, and Shawn, and his beautiful children Gage, Brianna, Brayden, and Sage.

He will also be missed by many family and friends who all have special memories of Joe as a keepsake of their own.

We pray for his eternal peace as we commend Joe into the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
