Born in Toronto, Nel passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Small (1999). Predeceased by parents Joseph and Mary Waclaw and sister Lillian Lukas-Lloyd (1980). Cherished Mother of Carol Kutkus (Vytas), Susan Schwarzpech (Karl) and Robert Small (Karen). Delighted Great-Grandmother of Owen and Nathan Baiden, Corey and Tommy Lukic, and Jaxon and Grace Small. Loving and cherished companion of the late Ron Norbury (2013). Dear friend of Maria at Oak Park LaSalle.
Nel was active in the community and over the years was part of Central Home and School, the Brownie and Guide Auxillary, Malden Park Health Auxillary and the I.O.D.E. She was a community volunteer at the Francois Baby House and a performing member of the Paulin South Windsor Fun Band.
She enjoyed music, bowling, golfing, curling, cards, travel and Scrabble. A musician since the age of fourteen, she played the accordion in her younger years and later the organ. An avid reader and fan of the British Royal Family, she was pleased to be born the same year as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
