Passed away peacefully on June 1, 2021 at the age of 83 years.  Beloved husband of Francesca, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.  Loving father of Franca Lombardo, Andrea La Sala (Johnna) and Dina Baker (Keith).  Cherished Nonno of Chris (Meighan), Madison, Mitchell and Mirabella.  Alberto will be missed dearly by many family members, siblings, nieces and nephews from Canada, USA, Italy and Argentina.  Alberto served in the Italian Army, and later immigrated to Canada with his family, where he worked at Ford Motor Company for over 22 years.  He was well recognized and respected by many in the construction industry; where he worked many hours pouring concrete.   Outside of work, he loved being with his family, playing cards and working in his garden.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Sunday June 6, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.  Reservations and masks are required to attend the visitation.  Please call Windsor Chapel between the hours of 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM to make a reservation.  A Private Funeral Mass will be held for the family On Monday June 7, 2021 at 11am at St. Angela Merici Church.  A private entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A special thank you to the administrative team and the nursing and support staff of the Poplar Unit (Huron Lodge) for the exceptional care and compassion given to Alberto.  Donations may be directly made to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.  Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
