Obituary of Lucia D'Amico
D’AMICO, Lucia

December 12, 1936 – January 4, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lucia D’Amico (nee Bottoni) on January 4, 2021 at the age of 84. Originally from Torrice, Frosinone in Italy, she came to Canada to start a new life. She leaves behind a husband of 66 years Gino and 3 children, Angela (Harold Corbett pd.), Marisa (Bruno Migliore) and Lino (Lucy). Devoted Nonna to Nicole (Matt Pettinato), Joe Migliore, Daina Migliore, Gina Baran, Lisa Baran, Christina D’Amico and Stephanie D’Amico; and proud Bisnonna to Karli, Brittney, Summer, Laniya, Landyn, Liam and Samantha. Adored Zia to many nieces and nephews, she will be missed by all.

Lucia was a longtime member of the Ciociaro Club and retired housekeeping staff member of Hotel Dieu Hospital. In her retirement she loved her family, her grandchildren and her amazing roses in her garden where she devoted many hours of care. We would like to thank the staff of Aspen Lake’s Sandwich Town where she resided the past few years. A special mention to Shannon, the Recreational Director, who kept Lucia’s spirits high. Also, a thanks goes out to the staff of 5 North at MET Campus for bridging the Covid lockdown, to be a stand in for family and to keep us informed.

A private funeral and entombment have taken place with the immediate family. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell). Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with her family at www.windsorchapel.com.

Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel)

11677 Tecumseh Rd. E

519-253-7234
