When I think of my Aunt Madeline, most often it’s the very fond image of her surrounded by flowers when she worked at the Windsor Market in the 1980’s, the sunlight pouring in from behind would light up her blonde hair into this giant orange yellow glow which radiated out through the space. I would go up and visit her most Saturday mornings and was always greeted with a truly genuine warmth. Her smile was so large that the whites of her eyes would usually vanish into tiny slits. Madeline did not overuse her words, the ones she choose were positive and kind, never speaking badly of anyone. I am grateful for her presence and influence in my life. Forever compassionate and helpful, honest and caring, she will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
