AZAR, Almas (nee Aoun)
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Almas, a loving Mother and Citi on May 2, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Georges Azar (1976). Loving and devoted mother to late Simon Azar (Birgitta), Mona Azar, Dunia Chamoun (Maurice) and Charles Azar (Mary “Mira”). Predeceased by her parents and in-laws, Moussa and Naimeh Aoun and Ibrahim and Kafa Azar. Cherished Citi to Christian Azar, Michael Azar (Sandra), Alison Azar, Gina Chamoun and Robert Azar (Emma). Great-grandma to Richard, Isabella, Mateo, Naomi and Simon. Dear sister to late Alma Aoun (late Ishak), Violette Aoun (Aouni), late Elias Aoun (late Madeline), Fouad Aoun, late Najat Haddad (late Jean) and Hafaf Issa (Elias). Survived by many nieces and nephews in Lebanon, Canada and U.S.A. Almas was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Maronite Church. A heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers for their compassionate care provided to Almas. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., (519-253-7234) on Wednesday May 5, 2021 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday May 6, 2021 at St. Peter’s Maronite Church. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Reservations and masks are mandatory to attend visitation.
